How it works?

Gasket plate heat exchanger Standard design

The Gasket plate heat exchanger also called plate and frame plate heat exchanger consists of a pack of corrugated metal plates, The corrugation of the plates provides the passage between the plates, the two fluids transfer the heat between the channels. The plate pack is assembled between a fix frame plate and a movable pressure plate and compressed by tightening bolts. The gasket between the plates seals the inter plate channel and directs the fluids into alternate channels. The number of plates is determined by the design: the temperature program, flow rate,  pressure drop and physical properties of the fluids,. The plate corrugations promote fluid turbulence and the plate contact point support the plates against pressure. The frame plate and the pressure plate are fixed to a support column. Connections are located in the frame plate or pressure plates,this depends on the flow pass.

Baode  Gasket plate heat exchanger is compact size! With the compact  designs they just need 22–50% less space in the system than a comparable shell-and-tube heat exchanger. so they require up to 75% less cooling media, you just need a smaller pumps that will consume less energy.

Compare with Shell-tube-heat exchanger, Baode gasket plate heat exchanger / Frame and plate heat exchanger offers up to six times greater heat transfer efficiency. The special corrugate plate pattern creates a high level of turbulence which, in combination with the low liquid volume and high heat transfer values. This make easy to control the heating or cooling effcient.

*Easy maintenance
When cleaning is needed, gasket plate heat exchanger can easily be opened, giving access to the plate surfaces, use pressure water or certain liquid to clean.

Working principle of gasekt plate heat exchanger

The channels in the heat exchanger are formed by the plates, the two media flow through alternate channels. The heat is transferred through the plate between the channels, the complete counter-current flow can make sure highest possible efficiency. The corrugation of the plates provides the passage between the plates, the contact point supports each plate against the adjacent one, this design can make the flow turbulence, which make the heat transfer effciecy
